A lot of caterers and restaurants try to offer something for everyone. That's nice and it probably brings a lot of people, but that's not what we're about. We're about BBQ. We decided before we got started that we would rather do a few things exceptionally well than offer a greater variety at the expense of quality.

Everything from our ribs and brisket to our cole slaw, potato salad and beans have been meticulously developed and lovingly prepared to bring our customers the best BBQ that we can make. We think that while our menu is small, it offers exciting options for people looking for great BBQ.

How To Build Your Menu

Generally, a Smokin' Hawg BBQ menu consists of two meat or sandwich selections, two sides, a salad option, bread or buns, and an optional dessert. However if you want to give your guests more options, that is something we can do. If you have any questions about any of the selections listed here, or if you would like to request a selection not listed, please drop us a line and we'll be happy to give you more information and help you build the perfect menu. Meat Selections

We use only fresh never frozen select cuts of meat to ensure you get the best flavour the meat can provide. We also do our own trimming of the meats. All our rubs and sauces are made from scratch.

  • St. Louis Spare Ribs
    We use a Memphis-style dry rub to form a savory crust, smoke the slabs over apple and oak, and served with a semi-sweet BBQ sauce  on the side to complement the spicy rub and smoky meat.
  • Baby Back Ribs
    Leaner, and more subtle in flavor than Spare Ribs, these smaller slabs have been king for years.
  • Pulled Pork
    We smoke our Boston butts over apple and oak and pull them by hand to deliver the perfect texture and the ideal mix of the crusty, smoky pieces from the outside (Bark) and the tender juicy pieces from the inside. Served with our house Pig Pickin Sauce.
  • Pork Loin
    Tender juicy slices of succulent pork served with our own house bbq sauce. The meat is a very light blush pink in color, and melts in your mouth. A fantastic lower calorie alternative.
  • In House Smoked Ham
  • Beef Brisket
    After 15 hours in the smoker, this is the definition of moist and tender. The deep, rich smoke flavor is complemented by a 2-layer spice rub, served  with sauce on the side but we don't think sauce does it justice its great the way it is. We carve this one on site for optimal flavour at no extra cost to you.

  • BBQ Chicken
    Don’t let the pink, juicy meat scare you. We promise you its fully cooked. In fact, these yard birds have been smoked for three hours, which is what gives the meat the color, flavor and juiciness uncommon for chicken. Once they’re cooked through, we crisp the skin and finish them off with our sweet and tangy sauce.
  • Smoked Sausage
    These sausages are a mix of pork and beef and as close as we can get to a traditional Texas link. These sausages are made in house to order, then cooked in our pit over hardwood giving them a nice rich flavor. 

Sandwich Selections

The Sandwich Buffet is a fantastic option for less formal occasions and lunches. Pile the meat up on a 3" bun, and top it with our slaw and a little scratch-made sauce. Makes for a real Southern treat you can’t beat.

Salad Selections

  • House Salad
    A quick run through the garden. Fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, mushrooms, peppers and carrots mixed with a light Italian dressing.
  • Caesar Salad

  • Traditional (Leafless) Greek Salad
  • Coleslaw
    A southern classic! We make ours using an oil and apple cider vinegar base this keeps the crunch and goes great with any BBQ.
  • Pasta Salad
  • Potato Salad
    With so many variations to this summertime classic we think we have one that goes really well with our BBQ.

Sides Selections

Our sides break down into two categories. Your starches, and your hot greens.

  • Bourbon Maple Baked Beans
    A customer favourite! Slow cooked for hours in our pit, seasoned with a splash of Jack Daniels and some of our rub. Makes for a real Southern treat.
  • Garlic Mashed Potatoes w/ Gravy
  • Roasted Potatoes
  • Baby Yukons roasted with Herbs de Provence and a splash of olive oil. These gems melt in your mouth like buttah'.
  • Baked Potatoes w/ All the Fixin's
    Bakers done the old way in our pit and seasoned with some sea salt comes with all the fixin's
  • Bourbon Sweet Potato Mashed
  • Gourmet Mac and Cheese
    Made in-house with four kinds of Bothwell® Cheese, blended into a creamy, cheesy, delicious sauce that clings to every nook and cranny of the pasta, and sticks to your ribs.
  • Creamed Corn
    Not your regular creamed corn! We add some smoked bacon, fresh herbs, a little cheese, and bake. Makes a nice side for any dish
  • Niblet Sweet Corn
  • Corn on the Cob
  • Vegetable Medley
    This vegetable blend is as delicious as it is beautiful. A colorful combination of whole yellow and green beans and whole natural baby carrots. The perf ect side dish for any meal.
  • Ratatouille
  • Honey Glazed Carrots
  • Seasoned Green Beans
  • Seasonal Veg (when Available)

Desserts

  • Seasonal Fruit Cobbler
